Realme C53 5G Design and Display
Those who keep an eye on this brand of smartphones might recognize the Realme C53 design. It’s made of plastic and it features two distinctive tones at the back, with both sides being glossed as well as a matte finish on the bottom part. I’ve received a Realme C53 review unit in Champion Gold, which isn’t very glitterative for my taste. In my opinion, I’d rather go for the variant of Champion Black. However, the phone is fingerprint and smudge resistant, except for the top shiny part, which houses three large LED camera rings with 108MP+B&W sensors and a flash.
The device’s flat edges and relatively light weight of 189 g make it quite ergonomic to hold. As far as the IO is concerned, the Realme smartphone has a USB Type C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a speaker grille at the bottom edge. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the power button on the right spine.
Realme C53 5G Cameras
The primary camera of the Realme C53 is 108MP. By default, the picture output is 12MP. You’ll also be able to click the high-resolution 108MP images from your phone. The camera, particularly in areas with appropriate lighting conditions, shows quick focus and shutter speed. In bright sunshine, the camera does a good job of picking up details. But it is difficult to maintain adequate contrast ratios resulting in an extra colour effects. The camera’s pictures from indoors and in low light appear to be average. The volume of noise introduced in the frame often distorts details, and even a dedicated night mode can’t seem to do much about it. The Realme C53’s 8MP selfie camera does a fine job.

Realme C53 5G Performance
For performance, Realme C53 is equipped with an entry level Unisoc T612 SoC coupled to 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. It is interesting that the 6 GB variant has 64GB of storage on board, whereas a 4 GB option can be had with 128GB. The user can access both the storage options using a microSD card, which has specific slots for mobile phones. For basic usage, including communication, browsing on social media and streaming video, the device works well. The overall experience is average. Sadly, there are noticeable lag and stutter effects when you play BGMI with the highest graphic resolutions and frame rates. Dual SIM, dual bands Wi+Fi, 4G Long Term Evolution, GPS and Bluetooth v5.5.0 are available connectivity options for the Realme C53.
As for the software, the Realme C53 comes with the Realme UI T edition running on top of Android 13 out of the box. This does not mean there are no bloatwares. The pre-installed apps can be removed anytime; making it possible for users to select apps based on their preferences.
Realme C53 5G Battery Life
A 5,000mAh battery is installed in the Realme C53 that lasts more than a day on light usage. That is apparent from the phone’s PCMark 3.0 battery test, which showed that it had a score of 18 hours and 30 minutes. However, until the end of the day, navigation and some gaming may reduce the battery life of your phone. With a charger of 18W on board, the cell phone can take approximately two hours and 15 minutes to fully charge from nothing.
Realme C53 5G
As compared to the price, the Realme C53 stands out among other smartphones in this price range. The phone performs well while carrying out everyday tasks with its massive battery of 5000mAh and a good premium design and display. However, the cameras could be improved. Overall, it’s a decent choice for those having a tight budget.
