Design and Display of POCO X5

It’s easy to tell the difference between the X5 and X4 Pro at first glance. The X5’s back panel is curved instead of flat, and the edges are slimmer than last year’s X-series phone. It weighs 189 grams and is 7.98 mm in thickness. It’s also made of plastic, not glass, and has an oversized camera bar that sticks out from the chassis. It’s lightweight (only 188 grams) and really comfortable to hold, but it gets dirty pretty quickly and needs to be cleaned regularly to get rid of all the sweaty fingerprints and grime. Other than that, there aren’t too many differences, apart from the top edge of the phone where you’ll find the 3.5 mm headphone jack and an IR blaster.

Cameras of POCO X5

POCO X5 is equipped with triple rear cameras, with a primary sensor of 48MP instead of 64MP, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MPmacro sensor, as compared to the X4 Pro’s 64MP primary sensor. The selfie camera has been reduced to 13MP from 16MP, and the 48MP primary sensor performed well in daylight conditions, with a quick focus speed and a good capture time. By default, the sensor produces 12MP images, which are satisfactory, but the X5 has issues controlling sunlight flares, which can be observed running across the screen. The 13MP front camera performs well, and is comparable to the 16MP front camera of the X4 Pro in terms of colour fidelity.

Performance of POCO X5

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC is an old one, but Poco has included the same on the POCO x5 5G because Poco places a lot of emphasis on performance at the price point. While it doesn’t offer the most powerful internal components, it is still decent. Everyday use is pretty smooth, though there is a bit of lag in some actions, like when the screen rotates while watching a video. The same screen rotation is much smoother when viewing a webpage. The processor is well balanced, so there will be no issues while playing games, but it isn’t built for heavy-duty gaming. You’ll have a great time playing games, like BGMI mobile, COD mobile, or PUBG state at Medium graphics at 50fps.

Battery Life of POCO X5

When it comes to sound output, the Poco X5 has a mono bottom firing speaker that can get pretty loud, but it doesn’t sound great. It also has a 33W charger, which is way slower than the charging tech on the Poco X4 Pro. The Poco X5 takes over an hour to charge up from 0% to 100%, and the Poco X 4 Pro can do the same thing in just 40 minutes.

POCO X5 5G

POCO X 5G is a good phone, but it's not the best one you can get for less than Rs 20,000. The phone have a single speaker and still runs on Android 12. It's made of plastic, and has mediocre cameras. Alternatively, you also have POCO X 4 Pro 5G, which is priced at Rs 19,000, so there's no point in paying the same price for the X5 5G.
