OPPO Reno10 5G has an eye-catching design language and an appealing AMOLED screen, which are major improvements over the previous generation of OPPO’s 5G devices. The chipset isn’t its best feature, but it can do basic everyday tasks well and has a good battery life. The price of the OPPO 5G starts at Rs. 32,999 and is among the most competitive in the market. Oppo Reno10 Design and Display

OPPO has maintained the same design philosophy across all three models in the series, which is evident in the appearance of the Reno10. From the back, the two phones appear to be almost identical, with a pill shape camera module and a similar camera layout. However, the only distinction between the two is the finish of the back panel. The Reno10 Pro has a glossy panel, while the vanilla model has a matte finish, which is generally preferred due to its ability to prevent fingerprints and smudging. The phone is available in two colour options: Ice Blue and Silvery Grey.

The Reno8 had a screen size of 6.43 inches with a 90Hz refresh rate of AMOLED, while the 5G adopts a larger 6.7 inches screen size with a higher refresh rate of 120Hz. The bezels of the 5G have been significantly reduced, particularly the chin, allowing for a larger display without significantly altering the footprint. The 5G adopts uniformly slim bezel designs, resulting in a larger and more immersive display.

The Reno10 5G’s primary camera is capable of capturing adequate photos with a high level of detail, however, it is prone to overexplaining certain areas of the image, such as the sky. To improve the quality of the images, a dedicated night mode is included, which reduces the shutter speed and allows for more light to be captured. Night mode is expected to provide better night shots than the standard photo mode, however, this has not always been the case. Additionally, the telephoto lens of the 32MP model is capable of capturing much better close-ups than the 2MP macro lens, and the 2x optical zoom can capture a greater amount of detail than the 1x zoom, allowing for a new perspective. Lastly, the 32MP selfie camera is included, allowing for good colour reproduction and skin tonal accuracy.

The OPPO RENO10 5G features a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset in combination with 8 GB of RAM. It is available in 128 GB and 256 GB storage options. This processor is a new addition to the RENO8 5G, however, it is not as powerful as the previous Dimensity 1300 in terms of CPU and game performance. Initially, the phone was capable of completing basic tasks such as messaging and browsing social media without any issues, however, after extended periods of use, it began to experience a decrease in performance when performing heavier, more intensive tasks. The phone is compatible with Android 13 and comes with a large number of pre-loaded applications, known as bloatware.

The Reno10 has a bigger battery than its predecessor, the Reno8, which had a capacity of 4500mAh. Now, OPPO has bumped it up to 5.000mAh, which means it’ll last longer with moderate use. But don’t forget that turning on the Always On feature will cut down on the phone’s standby time, so make sure to use it wisely. A battery test showed the phone could last for 17 hours with moderate use. The Reno10 also has a faster charging speed – 67W instead of 80W like the Reno8, so it’ll take around 45 minutes to charge from 30 minutes.
